Srinagar, August 16: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) has said that July 2023 was the hottest month on Earth since 1880 and has attributed it to the El Nino effect.
NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) has come to this conclusion and said that July was 0.24 degrees Celsius warmer than any other July and 1.18 degrees Celsius warmer than average temperatures between 1951 and 1980.
The experts have attributed it to the El Nino effect but at the same time said that the biggest impact of El Nino will be next year.
They have said that increase in temperature can lead to severe natural disasters like cyclones, droughts, forest fire and much more.
The European Union’s climate observatory has however said that July 2023 was hottest ever month on the earth.
