Srinagar, Jun 01: Exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, released Saturday evening, predict a notable victory for the National Conference (NC) with two seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also expected to secure two seats in Jammu and Kashmir. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is projected to win one seat.
This election saw the highest voter turnout in 35 years at 58.46%. The final phase of voting concluded on Saturday, with vote counting scheduled for June 4. According to the Times Now exit poll, NC is anticipated to win the Srinagar and Anantnag seats, BJP is expected to dominate in the Jammu division, and the PDP is favored for one seat. Other polls, like News 24, suggest the NC might secure up to three seats, reflecting a competitive and varied electoral landscape.
Nationally, exit polls indicate a strong performance by the BJP-led NDA, though falling short of their 400-seat goal.
