Srinagar: Today on eve of international wetland day-2024. People from different organisations and officials from Manasbal Development Authority took part in the said event.
The Wetland theme for 2024 is Wetland and Human wellbeing has been incoporated by the speakers durimg the event.
Wetlands are lungs of earth , wetlands are life these two important aspects had been discussed with the audience, special emphasis were laid on the adjoining wetlands of the area like Khurwan sar, Ahan sar, waskhar sar and shal harsar and indeed the sustainable conservation on Manasbal Lake.
Members from SOCIETY FOR ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT (SEED), Social Concern Group (SCG), and JK-Action Forum) were always at ground level in making community aware and sensitization to student community as well for future conservative measures and actions.
Wetlands are an important objective to be taken into consideration for conservation for the sake of future generation.
