Bandipora, Jan 31:- The residents of Banyari village of Bandipora aghast over authorities for not releasing their Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) cases despite passing four years.
Residents while speaking with the media said that the 64 families of the Banyari village have been approved earlier for PMAY housing scheme but after passing four years they have not been benefited yet.
“The authorities earlier said we will be provided 5 marla land because our land is not registered. Despite several follow- ups we are moving from one door to another, nobody is taking interest in it,” Farooq Ahmad, a local resident, said.
He also said that the government have made schemes for poor peoples benefits but some officials use it for their own benefit.
Locals expressed their gratitude towards DC Bandipora for listening to their grievances and promising them in solving it.
They requested LG administration and District Administration to look into the matter and intervention in this regard so that they can’t suffer anymore.
