Bandipora, 23 Nov : In a distressing incident, two haystack bundles were engulfed in flames at Gund Jahangir village of Hajin area in Bandipora district on Thursday evening.
The affected haystacks are reported to belong to Mehraj Din Sheikh, son of Sonaullah Sheikh, and Assadullah Sheikh, son of Haji Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, both residents of Pathoora Gund Jahangir village.
Efforts to control the fire are underway with the involvement of the Army’s Shahgund unit and fire tenders at the scene.
The local authorities are working diligently to bring the situation under control and prevent further damage.
The police have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.
