The event was held at the Amar Singh Club Sonwar in are Srinagar on Friday, resonated with the spirit of unity and the transformative power of generosity.

At the heart of this noble initiative stood Haji Musadiq Hussain Manhas, Chairman of the Jaffria Council Jammu and Kashmir, who eloquently emphasized the significance of such endeavors in fostering a more empathetic and supportive society.

He urged those fortunate enough to indulge in lavish weddings to extend their compassion towards the underprivileged, highlighting the transformative impact of collective action.

With a proud track record of empowering underprivileged couples, the Jaffria Council has consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to alleviating societal burdens.

Manhas recounted their remarkable achievements, citing 38 marriages facilitated in 2015, 70 in 2016, 75 in 2017, 105 in 2018, and 83 in 2019. While the pandemic temporarily disrupted their efforts in 2020, the council’s resilience shone through as they successfully organized 55 marriages each in 2021 and 2022. This year, despite facing challenges, they remained steadfast in their mission, successfully arranging the marriage ceremony for 40 underprivileged couples.

To ensure transparency and fairness, couples seeking assistance register with the council at its office in Khomanie Chowk Bemina, Srinagar. Upon verification of their circumstances, deserving couples receive the necessary support.

Haji Musadiq Manhas’s impassioned plea for community involvement resonated deeply, echoing the spirit of giving that defines the council’s mission.

As the couples exchanged vows and embarked on their new lives together, the air was palpably charged with hope and promise.

The Jaffria Council’s unwavering commitment to empowering underprivileged couples serves as a beacon of inspiration, illuminating the path towards a more just and compassionate society.
