JAMMU, May 1: Taking cognizance of viral videos against them, the District Development Commissioner Doda has suspended two Gram Sewaks (GRS).
According to an order, a copy of which lies with the action was taken on the basis of an office communication received from the Assistant Commissioner Development, Doda vide no. ACDDIEstt/2024-25/1095 dated 30.04.2024 regarding the viral videos on social media against Mr. Basharat Hussain, GRS, Panchayat Jakyas (A) and Mr. Afaq Ahmed, GRS, Panchayat Chinyas of Block Jakyas. The order states that the services of the aforementioned employees have been placed under suspension until further orders.
Moreover, the Assistant Commissioner Development, Doda has been appointed as the enquiry officer, who shall submit a detailed report regarding the allegations levelled against both the officials within two days.
Further, the order states that both the officials shall remain attached to the Office of the Assistant Commissioner Development, Doda until the outcome of the enquiry report.
