Jammu, September 3: A suspected Improvise Explosive Device (IED) packed in a tiffin was recovered and destroyed on Jammu-Poonch highway in Rajouri district.
The IED was found in Sangpur village of Chingus area of the district.
Giving details, police said that they received information of presence of a suspected box near the playground in village Sangpur and immediately the area was sealed. “A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the area and the suspected IED was destroyed,” the Police said.
The traffic movement on the highway was halted and was restored after the IED was destroyed.
