Meet Fayaz Ahmad, the man who trades his comfort for lighting up Hajin

Hajin: Meet Fayaz Ahmad Dar ,a daily wager working in power development department (PDD) hailing from Hakbara village of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district emerged as a heartwarming tale of determination and selflessness employee for exemplified unwavering dedication to his duty.
Despite the harshest weather conditions, Fayaz Ahmad worked tirelessly to ensure the timely restoration of electricity at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Hajin town, demonstrating the true spirit of public service.

As the cold winds howled and the snow blanketed the town Hajin on Tuesday, the CHC Hajin plunged into darkness due to an unexpected electricity snag at late night .

With lives depending on the uninterrupted power supply, the situation quickly turned critical. However, in the face of adversity, Fayaz Ahmad’s resolute commitment shone through.
Despite the rain and snow, this man, bearing all odds, reached at around 11:30 pm late night and restored the electricity, remarked an employee posted at the CHC Hajin.

Reflecting the deep appreciation and admiration for Fayaz Ahmad’s exceptional bravery and dedication.
The critically-timed restoration of electricity undoubtedly alleviated the apprehension and concerns that had enveloped the health centre.said Zahoor Ahmad.

While speaking with this reporter , Fayaz Ahmad Dar said we had to face challenges in the line of duty during winters that too without safety gadgets and then climb atop of the electricity poles to fix the issues.

Added that to illuminate Hajin he is getting active support from other colleagues namely Fayaz Ahmad (Junior) Javid Ahmad ,Ghulam Hassan and other employees.
He said that while it may be easy for others to criticize on social media, the true hardships endured by PDD employees often go unnoticed.

He said that the absence of proper safety gear while battling adverse weather conditions, underscoring the often-overlooked aspect of the monumental efforts put forth by individuals like himself.

He further said our top priority remains to fix the problems of Hospital,govt institutes so that they remain functioning smoothly.
Be it rain,snow ,dry our focus remain to keep Hajin town illuminated Said Fayaz.

The tireless dedication and tenacity displayed by Fayaz Ahmad resonated deeply within the local community, exemplifying the extraordinary commitment to service that underpins his work.
This valiant act, undertaken with exemplary grit and resolve, exemplifies the best of human spirit and serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of selflessness and dedication in serving the community.
