Jammu: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday ordered the transfer and posting of three Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers with immediate effect, as part of an administrative reshuffle.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, the changes affect crucial positions within the Home Department and the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, reflecting a fresh alignment in the governance structure.
Ranjit Singh, JKAS, who was serving as Special Secretary in the Home Department, has been moved to the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat in the same capacity.
Vaibhav Kohli, JKAS, previously posted as Special Secretary in the LG Secretariat, has been appointed as Excise Commissioner for Jammu and Kashmir. He replaces Subash Chander Chhibber, JKAS, who has been asked to await further posting orders in the General Administration Department.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sunil Sharma, JKAS, Additional Secretary in the Home Department, has also been shifted to the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat as Additional Secretary.
