Srinagar,05 June:Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi, has felicitated the elected parliamentarians from Jammu and Kashmir.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi in a Press Conference here said that he extends his heartfelt congratulations to all those candidates having achieved success in the results announced today.
“Extend my congratulations to Er. Rashid for winning Baramulla, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi in Srinagar and Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi in Anantnag,” reads the statement.
“One hopes that the elected parliamentarians will reciprocate to the aspirations of the people and represent them in the peoples’ house,” reads the statement.
Terming it a good omen for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Islam said that he hopes that assembly elections will also be held soon to let the people choose their representatives for redressal of their genuine grievances.
