BaFeb 21: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Shakeel ul Rehman Rather visited Shaheena Begum’s business unit on Wednesday as a show of support and admiration for local entrepreneurship.

Shaheena Begum is a 35-year-old dynamic entrepreneur and an educated member of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) from Sonerwani Bandipora’s Self Help Group (SHG).
Deputy Commissioner were BPM NRLM, ACD Bandipora Mumtaz Peer, and other relevant parties.
Shaheena Begum has managed several businesses with an estimated cost of 10.50 lakhs, making her a brilliant example of perseverance and commercial ability.

Her businesses, which showcase a varied and sustainable business approach, include a rice mill, flour mill, masala mill, oil expeller, beekeeping, and chicken husbandry.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora honored Shaheena Begum for her exceptional accomplishments and her spirit of entrepreneurship during the visit.
He assured her that the district administration would help her in her endeavors to improve them and boost the local economy.
In addition to expressing her gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, Shaheena Begum promised to keep working to grow her companies and add jobs in the area.

It is noteworthy to highlight that during a two-way virtual contact on Tuesday, Hon’ble PM and Shaheena Begum discussed her inspirational story of how NRLM SHGs have benefited her.
Shaheena shared details of her journey from poverty to becoming a Lakhpati Didi during her conversation with the Hon. Prime Minister.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister praised Shaheena’s tenacity and hard work during the interactive program and gave her props for her successful business ventures that capitalized on government programs.
