Srinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu and Kashmir, in a post on X, has dismissed circulating claims about a confirmed paper leak in the Fire Services recruitment examination, terming them “misleading” and not based on official facts.
The clarification comes after certain social media handles, including “J&K Services Selection Board Aspirants,” alleged that the ACB had confirmed a leak and that action was taken against only 106 candidates.
The ACB stated that no such confirmation has been made so far and that the matter remains under active investigation. It emphasized that no final conclusions have been reached by the competent authorities, and any claims portraying the probe as concluded are premature and inaccurate.
The bureau further explained that identifying a specific number of candidates is part of an ongoing investigative process. Any administrative action, including cancellation of candidature, is based strictly on prima facie evidence and in accordance with legal procedures.
Advising caution, the ACB urged the public and aspirants not to rely on unverified or partial information circulating on social media, and to depend only on official updates and verified communications.
