Sopore, April 10: A road accident in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Wednesday evening left three persons injured, including a 7-year-old boy.
Qouted from News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the mishap occurred at the Nowpora Kalan crossing in Sopore when a two-wheeler (Scooty) with registration number JK01A 7637 collided with a pedestrian child, critically injuring him.
The scooter rider and his two pillion riders also sustained injuries in the accident. All three were promptly transported to the sub-district hospital in Sopore for immediate medical attention.
A doctor at the hospital confirmed the incident, stating that two of the injured, including the minor child, were referred to a medical institution in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The minor injured child was identified as Burhan Mohsin Wani, son of Mohsin Ahmad Wani from Nowpora Kalan. The other injured individuals were identified as rider Adil Ramazan Shiekh, son of Mohd Ramzan Shiekh from Model Town, Owaise Farooq Hajam, son of Farooq Ahamd Hajam from Arampora, and Sufyaan Riyaz Kaloo, son of Riyaz Ahmad Kaloo from Gusia colony Sopore.
Meanwhile, Police have initiated an investigation into the road mishap.
