Budgam: Several people were injured by stray dogs in Chewdara village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday afternoon.
The incident has caused panic among residents, who have complained about the growing menace of stray dogs in the area.
However all the injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Locals expressed displeasure against authorities and said this is not the first time stray dogs have attacked people in Budgam. Earlier, people including a minor were injured by a pack of stray dogs in a village in the same district.
Locals have expressed concerns about the safety of residents, especially children, due to the increasing number of stray dog attacks.
They have urged the district administration to take steps to control the stray dog population and ensure public safety.
