Anantnag, Mar 20: A group of tourists narrowly escaped disaster early Thursday morning when their Tempo Traveller (PB01B7720) smashed into a roadside barrier in Nipora Mirbazar, Anantnag district, South Kashmir. The high-speed collision, which occurred along the Jammu-Srinagar Highway, injured at least nine passengers and left the vehicle’s front end mangled.
According to onlookers, the crash was jarring, with the force of the impact sparking chaos inside the vehicle. Quick action by local residents and rescue teams ensured the injured were promptly pulled from the wreckage and rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag. Medical staff reported that all nine victims are under care and, fortunately, in stable condition.
