Budgam 29 Dec: Emphasizing the importance of outcome-oriented skill development, Mr. Ayoub Mohiuddin, Head – Operations & Strategic Alliances, Youth Empowerment Organisation (YEO), stated that skill training must be directly linked to employment to effectively address the challenge of youth unemployment in Jammu & Kashmir. He was speaking at a Placement Drive organized by YEO at Charar-e-Sharief, Budgam.
The placement drive was conducted under the IEEMA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative and was supervised by the Power Sector Skill Council. As a significant outcome of the programme, 22 out of 30 trained candidates were issued offer letters by Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd., marking a successful transition from training to employment.
Officials from Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd. and the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) participated in the programme virtually. On the occasion, Mr. Irfan Parray, State Head – IEEMA (Jammu & Kashmir), congratulated the selected candidates and reiterated IEEMA’s continued commitment to promoting employment generation, particularly in underserved and remote regions.
