Jammu: Shreya Singhal, IAS, today assumed charge as Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir.
After assuming office, the Director held an introductory meet with the senior officers and officials of the DIPR.
She emphasized the importance of transparent, timely, and people-centric dissemination of information. She highlighted the Information Department’s role as a vital bridge between the government and citizens, stating that effective communication remains essential for promoting awareness of government developmental initiatives and welfare programmes.
Shreya Singhal reiterated her commitment towards modernizing the communication strategies by integrating digital platforms, enhancing media coordination and encouraging constructive engagement with the stakeholders.
Joint Director Information (Hqr), Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey; Deputy Director Information (PR&AV), Javid Ahmad Rather; other senior officers and officials of DIPR were present on the occasion.
