Grand Victory for Rising Star Chewdara as SPL Summer Special Cup Concludes in Sail Beeerwah

Budgam 3 Dec :Sail Beerwah, Jammu & Kashmir:The SPL Summer Special Cup (9th Edition) concluded with a thrilling grand finale, where Rising Star Chewdara emerged as the champions after defeating FCC Bonzanigam in a high-intensity contest. The final match, held at Sail Beerwah, drew hundreds of spectators who witnessed one of the most exciting encounters in the tournament’s history.

This year’s edition featured 32 competitive teams, making it one of the largest and most vibrant tournaments organized under the Cricket Association Sail. Rising Star Chewdara displayed remarkable consistency throughout the event, and their dominant performance in the final sealed their well-deserved title victory.

The closing ceremony was graced by MP Office Baerares Abrar Rashid, along with several members of the AIP party, who attended as chief guests. Their presence added prestige to the event and encouraged players and spectators alike.

Chairman of the Cricket Association Sail, appreciated all participating teams and highlighted the association’s dedication to promoting cricket and sportsmanship in the region.

Addressing the media, Abrar Rashid expressed concern regarding the rising influence of drugs among youth. He emphasized that concrete measures will soon be implemented to encourage sports participation as an alternative path toward a healthier and more disciplined lifestyle. “Sports can inspire young minds, keep them focused, and help build a stronger community,” he remarked.

Chairman Muzafar Ahmad also spoke to the media during the grand finale, praising the organizers, volunteers, and local supporters for their efforts in making the 9th Edition of the SPL Summer Special Cup a resounding success. He thanked the local community for their overwhelming participation and support throughout the tournament.

The organizers further expressed gratitude to the media fraternity, JK Sports Bulletin, Inyat Hussain, and Tanveer Hussain for their continuous coverage and support. A felicitation ceremony was held where certificates were awarded to organizers, media personnel, and outstanding sports players for their contribution to the successful conduct of the tournament.

The SPL Summer Special Cup continues to grow each year, providing young cricketers with a platform to showcase their talent and pursue excellence. The victory of Rising Star Chewdara stands as a proud moment for the team, their supporters, and the entire Chewdara community.

With the conclusion of this year’s event, the Cricket Association Sail reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing local talent and expanding sports infrastructure in the region. The tournament ended on a celebratory note, promising an even bigger and more exciting edition in the coming years.
