New Delhi, October 26: Eight Indians have been sentenced to death in Qatar, the details of which are still unknown, and Government of India has expressed concern over it.
These eight people are former Indian Navy officials and were working with a private company in Doha.
Those who have been sentenced to death were identified as Captain Navtej Singh Gill, Captain Birendra Kumar Verma, Captain Saurabh Vasisht, Commander Amit Nagpal, Commander Purnendu Tiwari, Commander Sugunakar Pakala, Commander Sanjeev Gupta, and Sailor Ragesh.
The GoI has said that they are in touch with the families of these officials and are exploring legal options.
