Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, underscores the significance of conducting free and fair Lok Sabha elections and the Amarnath Yatra in 2024 for the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
Assuring adequate arangements, Bidhuri highlights the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and ongoing monitoring by the Chief Election Office. With preparations underway, Bidhuri expresses optimism for a record voter turnout, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to providing satisfactory arrangements for the upcoming events.
These efforts aim to ensure a smooth electoral process and a safe and fulfilling pilgrimage experience for devotees.
“People should come forward to vote and elaborate arrangements have been made in this regard,” Bidhuri said.
He also said that arrangements are being made here for the annual Amarnath Yatra.
Bidhuri also said that roads are being prepared in Srinagar and black topping will be done after weather conditions improve.
