On the occasion of the beginning of the year 1405
March 20, 2026 (1404/12/29)
Introduction
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
“O Overturner of hearts and sight, O Director of night and day, O Transformer of state and conditions, change our state to the best of states.”
This year, the spring of spirituality and the spring of nature—namely Eid al-Fitr and the ancient Eid of Nowruz—have coincided. I congratulate every individual of the nation on these two religious and national holidays, and I specifically extend my greetings for Eid al-Fitr to all Muslims of the world. I must also offer congratulations for the significant victories of the warriors of Islam. I express my condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs of the “Second Imposed War,” the January coup, the “Third Imposed War,” the martyrs of security and border protection, and the anonymous martyred soldiers.
Regarding the arrival of the solar year 1405, I have several points to share, beginning with a brief review of the important events of the past year. In the past year, our dear people experienced three military and security wars:
The First War (June): The “Zionist enemy,” with specific help from
America, launched a cowardly attack during negotiations, martyring some of our top generals, prominent scientists, and approximately 1,000 fellow citizens. The enemy mistakenly believed the people would overthrow the Islamic system within a day or two. However, through the people’s vigilance and the bravery of the warriors of Islam, the enemy soon showed signs of desperation and sought a cessation of hostilities to save itself from the brink.
The Second War (January Coup): America and the Zionist regime, imagining that economic problems would lead the people to fulfill the enemy’s wishes, used mercenaries to commit numerous atrocities. This resulted in even more martyrs than the previous conflict and caused significant damage.
The Third War (Ongoing): We are currently in the midst of this war. On its first day, we bid a tearful farewell to the “kind father of the Ummah,” our Great Leader (may his station be exalted), as he departed on a heavenly journey. Since then, we have bid farewell to other martyrs, including the children of the Shajareh Tayyibah school in Minab, the brave stars of the Destroyer Dena, and commanders from the IRGC, Army, Police, and Basij. The enemy’s illusion was that by martyring the head of the system and military influencers, they could create fear and despair to dominate and eventually disintegrate Iran.
The Epic of Public Presence
During the month of Ramadan, you combined fasting with Jihad and created a vast defensive line across the country. You struck such a confusing blow to the enemy that they fell into making contradictory and nonsensical statements. You suppressed the coup on January 12 (22 Dey), showed your tirelessness on February 11 (22 Bahman), and on March 13 (22 Esfand)—which coincided with Quds Day—you showed the enemy that they are not just dealing with missiles and drones, but with a front much larger than their small mindset. I thank every individual for this epic presence, as well as the “brave, honest, and popular President” and other officials who appeared among the people without ceremony. This unity among various religious and political backgrounds is a special blessing from God.
Welcoming the Year 1405 and the Month of Shawwal
As we enter 1405, we bid farewell to the month of Ramadan 1447 AH. We embrace the month of Shawwal with hope for a “divine gift”. We hope for the news of the general appearance (reappearance) of our Master, the Wali al-Asr (may God hasten his reappearance).
Regarding Nowruz, while this is the first year our “Martyred Leader” is not among us and many families are grieving, I recommend that people continue their traditional visits while maintaining respect for the families of martyrs. It would be excellent if neighborhoods began their New Year visits by honoring the martyrs of their local area. The official mourning period set by the government remains in place.
National Unity and the Year’s Slogan
I thank the production and service units, as well as individuals providing free services to the people. I advise domestic media to avoid focusing on weaknesses, as the enemy uses media operations to target the national psyche and unity.
The enemy also hopes to exploit long-standing economic and management weaknesses. Our “Martyred Leader” always focused on the economy. In my view, providing for the people’s livelihood, improving infrastructure, and creating wealth is a central form of defense against economic war. I have personally listened to the criticisms of people from various social classes, including traveling incognito in taxis in Tehran to hear their words. Based on these lessons and expert studies, a comprehensive “remedy plan” is being prepared for officials to implement.
The Slogan for the Year 1405 :
“Resistance Economy under the Shadow of National Unity and National Security”
Relations with Neighbors
Our policy of maintaining good relations with neighboring countries is serious and real. We share religion, holy sites, and strategic interests with our neighbors, especially against global arrogance. We feel very close to our eastern neighbors; Pakistan was particularly dear to our Martyred Leader. I request that the brotherly countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan improve their relations, and I am ready to take necessary steps to help.
Furthermore, I clarify that the attacks in Turkey and Oman were not carried out by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic or the Resistance Front. These are “false flag” tricks by the Zionist enemy to create division.
Conclusion
I hope for a year full of victory and material and spiritual openings for our nation, our neighbors, and the Resistance Front.
“And We wanted to confer favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors…” (Quran 28:5).
May peace and the mercy of Allah be upon you.
