Srinagar: Mr. Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather, an IAS officer of the 2013 AGMUT cadre, who has been serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora, has been transferred and appointed as the Director of Floriculture, Parks, and Gardens in Kashmir. Mr. Rather, known for his effective administration and development initiatives during his tenure in Bandipora, will now oversee the management and enhancement of Kashmir’s floriculture sector, parks, and gardens.
In his new role, Mr. Rather is expected to bring his expertise in governance and public service to the forefront, ensuring the conservation and development of the region’s horticultural assets. His work in Bandipora was marked by a focus on public welfare, infrastructure development, and responsive governance, which has left a lasting impact on the district.
In his place, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, a senior JKAS officer who previously served as the Managing Director of J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora. Mr. Qadri is expected to continue the developmental work and focus on public welfare initiatives in the district, building on the foundations laid by his predecessor.
These transfers are part of the ongoing administrative reshuffle aimed at optimizing governance and ensuring that key sectors in Jammu and Kashmir receive focused leadership and attention.
