Jammu: The body of a missing Agniveer, identified as Jimmi Ngmminium Mate from Manipur, was recovered on Friday late evening in the Khour sector of Jammu.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner, The Agniveer, was deployed with the 05 Assam Regiment at a forward post in Hamirpur Sidher.
A search and rescue team found the body approximately 100 meters from the forward post at the IB (International Border) around 5:30 p.m. Army officials informed the Khour Police, and a team led by SHO Inspector Neeraj Choudhary arrived at the scene, they said.
After completing all legal formalities, the body was shifted to Military Hospital 170 in Akhnoor at Friday evening .for a wreath-laying ceremony scheduled for today at the Army Headquarters in Akhnoor, they said.—(KNC)
