Srinagar, April 02: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Noorbagh area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday afternoon, as a minor boy lost his life to drowning in the river Jhelum, officials confirmed.
The deceased identified as 12-year-old Muneer Ahmad Khanday, the son of Mohammad Maqbool Khanday and a resident of Noorbagh, met with the unfortunate accident in his hometown river jehlum after dspite efforts to rescue him, the boy couldn’t be saved.
He was immediately evacuated and rushed to SMHS, where medical professionals, unfortunately, declared him brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation in this regard.
