Bandipora,08 June: A Kashmiri Pandit group performed ‘Puja Archana’ at the Nand Kishore Temple in Sumbal Sonawari area in Bandipora district, on the occasion of the annual day (Mawas Sumbli) of Maharaj Nand Kishore.

This marked the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the temple after 24 years.
The visiting Pandit group was warmly received by the local Muslim community in Sumbal Sonawari.

They expressed their happiness at being able to visit the temple again and highlighted the importance of communal harmony in Kashmir.
The Pandits commended the local Muslims for preserving and cleaning the temple even in the absence of Kashmiri Pandits in the town.

While speaking to media they said that the Kashmiri Pandit and Muslim communities are the integral part of the Kahsmir and both make it to the concept of Kashmiriyat.
Pandits also applaud local Muslim Support in preservation and cleaning of the temple at the time when there is not a single Kahsmiri Pandit living in Sumbal town.
They appealed to the district administration to develop and beautify the temple to facilitate regular visits by Kashmiri Pandits in the future.
