Bandipora, Jan 10:- The Dry spell continues across Kashmir valley with no western disturbance till Jan 16 of 2023. The night temperature drops into minus temperatures resulting in the freezing of water pipes, lakes and roads at several places including Gurez valley of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The road leading to Bangalore area is freezed after the water from local stream and pipelines flows through the road.
Locals while speaking with the media said that the freezed road posed a threat to vehicles driving on the road.
“We have to push vehicles at several places to pass the road where it have been freezed due to the leakage of water pipes,” locals said.
Locals thanked the R & B department of Bandipora for taking an early note of the situation and sending man and machinery to the village to repair the retaining wall.
