Sopore: Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sopore celebrated World Tourism Day 2025 with full enthusiasm, based on this year’s theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”
On this occasion, students of the Tourism and Hospitality showcased their creativity by preparing fresh mocktails, which were served to our respected faculty members. The activity highlighted how hospitality skills can add value to tourism experiences.
Later, students visited Ningli (Wular Lake) Sopore, where they reflected on the idea of sustainable tourism and its importance for the future of the Kashmir region. Through this activity, students understood that tourism is not only about travel and leisure but also about adopting a sustainable approach to development, protecting natural resources, and creating opportunities for the community.
This meaningful day was made possible with the constant guidance and support of our esteemed Principal, Mr. Mushtaq Sopori, along with the dedicated efforts of Vocational Trainer Ms. Bazila Showkat and the active participation of our faculty members.
