Uri: A massive fire blaze gutted double-storey residential house in Garkote B village, Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
An official told that the residential house was belongi to Sukar Din Chenaza resident of Garkote B ward number 9 Uri area.
Locals were the first to respond to the fire, attempting to extinguish the flames and prevent them from spreading to nearby properties.
However, the absence of proper road connectivity in the area hampered the fire and emergency services’ ability to reach the spot promptly.
Thankfully, the blaze caused no injuries or casualties, but the double-storey house sustained extensive damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the police have begun investigating the incident.
