Baramulla : in a bid to put an end to drug menace, Baramulla police today attached property worth Rs 41.85 lakh of drug smugglers in the district.
Acting tough against the drug smugglers, police have attached properties of drug smugglers worth ₹41.85 lacs in Baramulla.
The property included a house worth Rs 11.46 lakh and a commercial vehicle worth Rs 5 lakh, which belonged to a drug smuggled Muhammad Naseer Bhatti, a resident of Madiyan Kamalkote Uri.
The action was led by SDPO Uri Showkat Ali.
Police also seized 1.17 kgs of brown sugar and Rs 25.39 lakh from the drug smuggler at the time of raid conducted in his house.
People of the area have appreciated the efforts of police of acting against drug menace.
