Sumbal: In a significant political development, Ghulam Nabi Amber, the District Development Councilor (DDC) member from Sumbal, has resigned from the National Conference. Ghulam Nabi Amber has confirmed that he will contest the upcoming assembly elections from the Sonawari constituency as an independent candidate.
“I have decided to contest in the upcoming assembly elections from Sonawari constituency, and it’s confirmed that I will be running independently,” Amber stated. With elections being held in Jammu and Kashmir after over a decade, he emphasized that his candidacy is aimed at serving the welfare of the people.
Amber did not rule out the possibility of joining another political party in the future, stating, “Time will decide whether I will align with a party or continue independently.” He believes this step is crucial to realign efforts and strategies to better serve the best interests of the people of Sonawari.
