Srinagar, Nov 03,: A bear cub was found dead on Baramulla- Uri highway near Peerniyan Boniyar area of Uri in Baramulla district on Friday morning.
An official told that a bear cub was found dead on the road in Peerniyan Boniyar.
The said that it seems that cub got killed after hit by unknown speedy vehicle during the intervening night of 2 and 3 November.
An official from the Wild Life Department told that a team removed the dead bear cub from the road and shifted for necessary medical formalities and examination to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation.
