Bandipora, Mar 18:- Bandipora has 312 polling stations for its three constituencies Bandipora, Sonwari and Gurez in which Sonawari have 144 polling stations, 137 in Bandipora and 31 in Gurez.
Deputy commissioner Bandipora Shakeel-Ur-Rehman in a presser today at Mini secretariat Bandipora said that these 312 polling stations are at 212 locations across the district.
“We have 282 critical polling stations in three constituencies out of 312 polling stations in which 67 polling stations are critically dependent on voter turnout where in last elections minimum voting have been recorded,”.
He assured that all facilities are available in all polling stations which have been made mandatory by the Election Commission of India.
Notably in an order on yesterday from District Administration Bandipora reads ban of using official vehicles by political parties and directs all licensed gun holders to deposit qeap is ahead of Lok sabha polls.
The order further states that these instructions will be strictly followed by all concerned government departments, political parties, candidates etc.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Bandipora, along with the Additional District Magistrate, Bandipora (appointed as the Nodal Officer-MCC), have been tasked with ensuring the complete and thorough implementation of these directives.
