Sopore, Sept 09: In the face of a looming natural disaster, Haaritar Sopore stood at the edge of a serious flood threat. Yet, thanks to the tireless efforts and timely action of Sopore Administration and Sopore Police, the area was safeguarded from destruction. What could have been a tragedy turned into a story of resilience and relief.

For days, rising water levels created fear among villagers. Concerns grew that if the situation worsened, paddy fields, orchards, and homes would be washed away. But the administration’s proactive measures and round-the-clock monitoring ensured that not only were homes secured, but the standing paddy crops were also protected from what could have been a massive disaster.
Villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying the efforts of the authorities saved their livelihood and shelter. “If they hadn’t acted on time, our crops and our roofs would have been gone,” said one farmer with tears of relief.
The people of Haaritar praised the dedication of the teams on the ground, acknowledging that their sleepless nights and relentless work turned despair into hope. “Because of them, our fields remain green and our homes remain standing,” another elder remarked.

Haaritar today stands as a reminder that with unity, swift response, and determination, even the greatest threats can be turned away.
