NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online registration portal for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, which will be conducted from June 22-30 in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects.
The exam is conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility of Indian nationals for award of Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.
In a statement on Wednesday, NTA said that the submission of online application forms will remain open from April 29 to May 20, 2026, till 11:50 pm. The last date for submission of examination fee through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI is also May 20, 2026 (up to 11:50 pm).
