Students of NIFT Srinagar Excel at IndiaSkills Regional Competition

Srinagar: Students from the Fashion Design Department of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Srinagar, have brought laurels to the institute by securing top positions at the prestigious IndiaSkills Regional Competition. The achievement highlights the students’ creativity, dedication, and technical expertise in the field of fashion design.

Diksha, a Semester 6 student from the Fashion Design Department, delivered an outstanding performance and secured the Gold Medal in the competition. In recognition of her achievement, she was also awarded a cash prize of ₹75,000. Her innovative designs, attention to detail, and creative approach impressed the judges and helped her secure the top position.

Another student from the same department, Rushda, who is currently in Semester 4, also performed remarkably well and secured the Silver Medal. She was awarded a cash prize of ₹50,000 for her performance. Her work demonstrated originality, dedication, and a strong understanding of fashion design concepts, earning her recognition at the regional level.

These remarkable achievements reflect the high standards of education, creativity, and skill development promoted at National Institute of Fashion Technology Srinagar. The institute continues to play a significant role in nurturing young talent and preparing students for competitive platforms such as the IndiaSkills Competition, which aims to promote professional excellence and industry-relevant skills among youth.

Faculty members and the administration of NIFT Srinagar congratulated Diksha and Rushda for their hard work and dedication. They expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating that their success has brought recognition and honor to both the department and the institute.

The achievement also serves as an inspiration for other students to pursue creativity, innovation, and excellence in the field of fashion design and other skill-based disciplines.
