Delhi, June 5, 2024 – In a significant political development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin met Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Delhi airport. The unexpected encounter has sparked discussions about potential political alliances and collaborations between the states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Following the meeting, CM Stalin took to Twitter to share the details of his conversation with Naidu. “I conveyed my best wishes to him and expressed hope that we will collaborate to strengthen the ties between the brotherly states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. I am confident that he will play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the southern states and protecting our rights,” Stalin tweeted.
This meeting comes at a time when regional parties are increasingly looking to form alliances to ensure their interests are represented at the national level. Both leaders are known for their strong advocacy for the rights of their respective states and have often voiced concerns over the centralization of power by the Union Government.
