Baramulla5: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla on Friday assured the public that there is no need to panic regarding the availability of essential commodities in the district. He informed that sufficient stock of petroleum products and ration has been kept available to meet local requirements.
According to the official statement, around seven days’ stock of petrol, diesel and LPG has been ensured across the district, while adequate supply of food grains and other ration essentials are also in place. The DC said that the administration is in constant touch with oil companies, food supplies department and concerned agencies to maintain smooth availability.
He further appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary panic buying and cooperate with the administration in maintaining calm and discipline during the current situation. Special monitoring teams have been constituted to keep strict vigil on hoarding and black marketing of essential commodities.
The DC reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to ensure uninterrupted supply of essentials to every household in Baramulla.
