Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday ordered a reshuffle of several Chief Education Officers (CEOs) and equivalent officers. The new postings come into effect immediately.
According to an order, Ab Gani Bhat, currently serving at DIET Kupwara, has been appointed as the new Chief Education Officer Kulgam. The incumbent CEO Kulgam, Mohd Shabir, has been shifted and will now serve as Associate Professor at SCERT Jammu.
Further, Kewal Krishan, the CEO Samba, has been transferred to hold charge as CEO Kathua, while Yash Paul Sharma, from DIET Poonch, has been posted as the new CEO Samba.
Meanwhile, Balbir Kumar, from DIET Shopian, has been assigned as CEO Bandipora.
The order also specifies that the CEOs of Kupwara, Shopian, and Poonch will simultaneously handle the additional charge of their respective District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) until further adjustments are made. (GNS)
