Dangerous Snow Stunts in Gulmarg: Police Seize Vehicles, Register FIR
Baramulla: Baramulla Police has taken immediate action against two individuals for performing dangerous driving stunts on snow-covered roads at Gulmarg, an act that posed a serious threat to pedestrians and other road users.
In this connection, Police Station Gulmarg registered FIR No. 19/2025 under Sections 281 and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act against Imad ur Rehman Miya, a resident of Molvi Stop, Lal Bazar, Srinagar, and Mohd Munzarin Kullu of Alamdar Colony, Lal Bazar, Srinagar.
The accused were caught indulging in reckless driving on snow-covered roads, creating life-threatening conditions for people in the area. The vehicles involved—JK01BB-3417 and JK01AP-5151—were seized on the spot, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
Apart from legal action, the accused were counselled and strictly warned against repeating such behaviour. They were advised to adhere to traffic regulations, particularly during snowfall and slippery road conditions.
Baramulla Police has appealed to the public, especially young drivers, to refrain from thrill-seeking activities on public roads and to cooperate with the police in maintaining safety for both locals and tourists visiting Gulmarg
