Bandipora August 05: As part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada, a significant initiative themed “Plastic Lao Thela Le Jao” was today held at S. k Payeen of Block Hajin to raise awareness regarding hazards of Single Use Plastic.
The primary goal of this campaign is to reduce plastic waste by encouraging the use of cloth bags as an eco-friendly alternative.
The cloth bag distribution drive was carried out under the supervision of BDO Hajin, Raja Majid, where people deposited there plastic waste for proper disposal and took back a bio degradable bag for use at home.
This initiative reflects a commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability and promoting responsible waste management practices within the community.
The event saw widespread participation, with numerous cloth bags being handed out to residents, reinforcing the message of reducing plastic use and adopting more sustainable habits.
