Today i will talk about عطیش commonly known here in valley as (Atish-e-Shirin becasue it is very bitter in taste. let me start by the herbs different names. It is actually an antidote to poison. Few herbs from this family are severely toxic and should be avoided. It is called Atish ( poison) but Shireen ( non toxic) in kashmiri.

Habitat of this herb:
This herb is grown in kashmir, himachal Pradesh , Skim , Gilgit and Baltistan, It is very much engangered herb , though some claim it is available in abundance in cold regions.
Benefits:

How to use:
For Children (The “Rubbing” Method) Dear friends please note patrees is best friend of mothers when because it is given to babies for indigestion and immunity… methed No one is for moms.
- put few drops of clean water on stone
- rub the patrees on it
- thin brownish paste will form
- Just wipe this paste with your finger and let the child lick it.
- 1 or 2 times a day …. patress has carmative effect and it breaks down gasses or colic ( ) yes when your Baby is starting having teeth, pain is normal and you should use patrees to get relief for your babies.
for adults:
- grind few grams in grinder
- keep stocked
- take half gram and add with milk
- add hney if you wish
. For Diarrhea & Stomach Infection (Decoction/Tea)
If you have an upset stomach or diarrhea:
- Method:
- Take 1 cup of water in a pan.
- Add a small piece of crushed Patis root (or a pinch of powder).
- Add a small piece of Ginger (Adrak).
- Boil until the water reduces to half a cup.
- Strain and drink it warm.
