Current Matters
New Delhi, July 18: As all eyes were on opposition meeting in Bengaluru for the last couple of days, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today announced the formation of Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).
The alliance will be setting up its poll campaign Secretariat in New Delhi.
“We have decided to set-up an 11-member coordination committee and in our next meeting in Mumbai the names of the committee will be discussed,” Kharge said in a joint press conference.
“We have gathered here to save democracy and the constitution. NDA is holding a meeting with 30 parties and I haven’t heard of so many parties in India. Earlier they didn’t hold a meeting with any party but now PM Modi is afraid of opposition parties,” he added.
Speaking during the press conference, Rahul Gandhi said that the meeting was productive and said that the fighting is against BJP’s idealogy.
