Ganderbal: The Srinagar-Leh highway was closed on Sunday following mudslides caused by a cloudburst near the Cherwan Padabal area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials reported.
An official stated that the cloudburst near Cherwan Padabal led to the mudslides, which resulted in the highway being blocked. Consequently, traffic has been suspended on the road.
Rescue teams have reached the location and are working to restore access to the highway.
