When the history of the luminous stars of knowledge and action is written, the name of Maulana Mubarak Mubarki will be remembered with devotion, respect, and love. He was not just a scholar, not just a preacher he was a spiritual guide, an intellectual leader, and a true flag-bearer of Muslim unity. His personality was the embodiment of knowledge, a mirror of forbearance, and a fountain of sincerity.

Born into a family rich in religious and scholarly tradition in Kashmir, he received his early education in a local school. However, the thirst for knowledge in his heart took him to renowned Ahl-e-Hadith institutions across the Indian subcontinent, where he studied the religion deeply under the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. To him, knowledge was not just a collection of information it was the soul of action, the light of character, and a means of guiding the Ummah.

In the 1970s, when he began his practical life, he became a voice calling people towards the pure teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. In 1979, when he was elected President of the “Bazm-e-Tauheed Ahl-e-Hadith Auqaf Trust,” it was not just a position, but a responsibility which he fulfilled with sincerity, honesty, and wisdom for four decades. During this time, he brought thousands of hearts from the darkness of disbelief and polytheism into the light of monotheism.

His speeches were not just sermons they were calls that transformed hearts. His tone was neither agitated nor overly emotional; rather, it was calm, balanced, reasoned, gentle, and penetrated deep into the soul. His words carried a sincerity that touched the very spirit.
Maulana Mubarki was not just a preacher of words he was also a man of the pen. His writings in religious magazines and journals stirred minds, compelled reflection, and offered guidance. He was a proponent of unity among Muslims, and he held affection, breadth, and respect for scholars of every sect and school of thought.

He considered the religious education of women a sacred duty and dedicated his life to the intellectual upbringing of the younger generation. His conversations carried both the clarity of reason and the warmth of the heart.

May 2, 2025, brought tragedy to Kashmir. The morning light had barely spread when the news broke:
The atmosphere turned mournful. Eyes filled with tears, and hearts grew heavy with sorrow. His funeral prayer was held at the Central Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, led by his son Muhammad Ayub Mubarki, and attended by people from all walks of life scholars, spiritual leaders, social figures, politicians, and the masses whose hearts had been deeply touched by his teachings.

He was laid to rest in Sanat Nagar, but even in the earth, he was not merely consigned to dust he lives on in hearts, awakens minds, and his memory continues to shine as a guiding light.

Maulana Mubarki has departed, but his mission lives on. His son, Muhammad Ayub Mubarki, is now the guardian of that mission, and a luminous path remains for those who follow in his footsteps.

He may have gone, but his prayers, his words, his thoughts, his efforts, and his sincerity will forever remain with us.
