Literary field in Kashmir valley is getting wider day by day, every day some writing of some writer, writer, dramatist, critic and poet or poetess comes to the public which is a proof that Kashmir Valley is still on the surface of the land. It is rich with writers, writers, actors, poets and poets which is a welcome thing for the literary scene here.
However, even though the names of these writers, critics, poets and poetesses become famous in the literary world, on the other hand the desire to serve literature also makes a place in the heart of the novice writers and their desire. It increases towards literature. Although many novice writers have published many of their works at a young age for which they have gained a lot of recognition in the literary world. Mohammad Yousf Dar aka Saleem Yousf a well-known poet from Bandipora district of Inderkot Sumbal within the valley has been serving Kashmiri literature, language and culture for decades with his poetry and this process continues even today.
Since Saleem Yousf is also the head of the literary association called Inder Cultural Forum and in this literary association more than twenty writers and poets serve Kashmiri literature and language side by side with him.Salim Yusuf brought out his first work KAR PHOULI SAHAR which consists of Kashmiri Ghazals, Poems, Naats, Nawaha and Manqbat Khwani. Although Saleem Yousf reflected the times in this book what we saw with our eyes what we lived in dreams and thoughts, what Saleem Yousf wrote in this book and what we kept safely in closed doors.
Saleem Yousf embellished this book. Although Saleem Yousf has still kept a number of materials with him which if organized can be published in the form of many works but according to Saleem Yousf at his own and suitable time. But All will be revealed. Professor Mohammad Zaman Azurda expressed his impressions about this book in the following way that Allah Almighty has given Saleem Yousf the ability to embellish and decorate the Kashmiri language in the best words. Saleem Yousf’s idioms and words are exemplary. Similarly, Fayaz Tilgami wrote in the same book that the truth is that among my dear friends a special writer, poet, theater expert and actor Saleem Yousf wrote his first collection of poetry KAR PHOULI SAHAR “to his fans, friends, poets.” And along with literature lovers, he is offering his language and literature as protection for which I am personally happy for which I congratulate Saleem Yousf from the bottom of my heart.
Any language. Writers, actors and artists play an important role in keeping it alive and Saleem Yousf is one of those writers, actors and artists. Apart from that Saleem Yousf is also an excellent organizer and the best literary organization under his leadership Inder Cultural Forum is commendable and memorable because of the literary achievements and practical achievements which are doing selfless services of Kashmiri literature and language day and night.
I am proud to continue to organize gatherings and provide a platform to veteran poets as well as budding writers, although this forum has given me the opportunity to participate in these gatherings as well as honored me many times. There is an urgent need for such an excellent organization and organizer to keep Kashmiri language and literature alive and forward.
However, Prof. Shad Ramzan and Dr. Wahid Raza have also commented on Saleem Yousf’s latest work KAR PHOULI SAHAR which is officially listed in this book In this work more than one hundred and fifteen ghazals, manqibats, naats written by Saleem Yousf and poems are listed.
Saleem Yousf’s latest work KAR PHOULI SAHAR is truly a milestone for Kashmiri literature and language. It is hoped that other works under the pen of Saleem Yousf will come out very soon which we are eagerly waiting for and in the coming time Saleem Yousf will be counted among the shining stars of the literary world.
