Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a strong warning against several major American technology and industrial companies, stating they could be treated as “legitimate targets” in response to what it described as hostile actions by the United States and Israel.
In an official statement, the IRGC alleged that US-based ICT and artificial intelligence firms play a significant role in planning and executing targeted operations, including assassinations. It warned that any such actions against Iran would be met with direct retaliation against facilities linked to these companies.
The statement further advised employees and residents in proximity to these facilities to evacuate areas within a one-kilometer radius, indicating that retaliatory measures could begin at a specified time.
Among the companies named in the statement are major global firms including Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Dell, Palantir, Nvidia, J.P. Morgan, Tesla, General Electric, Spire Solutions, G42, and Boeing.
The warning comes amid heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns over the potential escalation of conflict and its implications for global technology and economic sectors.
No immediate response from the mentioned companies or US officials has been reported so far.
