Tehran: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly condemned the continued Israeli strikes on Lebanon, calling them a clear violation of the initial ceasefire understanding and a sign of “deceit and lack of commitment” to any future agreements.
In a post on social handle X, Pezeshkian said the repeated actions by Israel undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts and risk escalating tensions across the region. He warned that if such aggression continues, negotiations could become “meaningless,” signaling a hardening stance from Tehran.
The Iranian president further emphasized that Iran remains prepared for any scenario, stating that “our hands will remain on the trigger,” while reaffirming unwavering support for Lebanon. He added that Iran would not abandon its “Lebanese brothers and sisters” amid the ongoing conflict.
