Current Matters
Srinagar, October 30: A day after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf’s interview which gave a sense that all is not right in board, Pakistan cricket team chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has resigned from the post of chief selector.
He resigned in the middle of the world cup where Pakistan team has performed badly so far and onus has been put on bad selections of players.
Ashraf has said that he will ask Inzi to explain about allegations of influence of an outsider in the selection process.
Inzamam, one of the greatest batters of Pakistan, is the first to resign even as things are yet to unfold and Ashraf is all set to save his chair and put the onus on others who don’t fall in line.
The PCB chairman was critical of others of the present setup and previous chairmen but was quick to ridicule the allegations of taking his family to Sri Lanka and India on board’s money.
