The UTSARG Bakery, a “Nari Shakti” initiative spearheaded by the Indian Army in collaboration with the ASEEM Foundation, was inaugurated by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Tiger Division on May 31, 2025.
This venture symbolizes resilience and empowerment, transforming gratitude into opportunity while honoring the legacy of our heroes. The initiative is led by four courageous Veer Naris, who have been trained by volunteers from the ASEEM Foundation, a Pune-based NGO dedicated to supporting women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
The inauguration event was attended by various military dignitaries and veterans, who praised the Indian Army for its commitment to this noble cause. Their presence underscored the importance of initiatives like UTSARG in promoting the empowerment and self-sufficiency of women, particularly those who have faced significant challenges. The Army remains committed to fostering a culture of support and opportunity for women, reflecting a broader societal commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
